June 28- July 5th 2010

Well. We had a terrific week but unfortunately, not a lot of pictures. I will post some of them now... but really it will be more of a text post.

Monday was W's birthday. It wasn't too amazing. He had to work and his taste is too expensive for my wallet.

Here we are singing Happy Birthday after a dinner at Chili's.

There was a "golf" theme to his gifts....

His punch pass to the local 'venues'.
N is starting to sit up on his own...if only for a couple of seconds. :)

One morning the kids disappeared. Out emerged this.....

Tuesdays Weston has class and the kids and I find something to keep us busy. Wednesday we went to the Summer Movie Club and watched ToothFairy. We went and picked cherries in Farmington that night, too. Thursday we went to the Splash Pad, I had Activity Days and then we went and visited PaPa- in the hospital after knee replacement surgery.

Friday, Chelsea and I braved 5 kids and getting them to the Gateway via public transportation. It was an adventure! Before we left, I stopped by Maverik to get the kids waters. I was prompted to get cash back- something I NEVER do. I took the money and put it in my wallet. After we got off Front Runner and Trax we entered the Gateway with a sign saying he needed help. I hate to walk past these people without offering some sort of help- but I didn't remember I had cash in my wallet! I told the man I didn't have cash but I did have some fruit snacks! He looked surprised and thanked me. We walked past him again later and I asked him how the fruit snack was. "Hey! Those fruit snacks had juice in 'em!" We talked about the great fruit snacks and where I bought them. He was a really nice man and I was glad my children got to see that he was a real person.
We got to the Discovery Museum and when we saw the cost- we paused. A man waaay behind the counter asked us how we were amidst our concern over paying so much for an activity for such small individuals. (Well and with a fountain for FREE outside.) As Chelsea mentioned not wanting to pay so much, the man behind the counter offered us a "deal"- which ended up being free...except when they asked if we would like to make a donation. I remembered the cash from earlier and handed it over. The personnel behind the desk were so surprised (weird?) and thanked ME!
It was a terrific learning experience and a great opportunity to see a "pay-it-forward" happen right in front of us!

On the 4th, we had our traditional party at my Uncle's with croquet and fireworks of our own. B&D came with their A and their new K! Here are the newest cousins side-by-side...only 4 months apart! It's amazing how fast babies grow!

Oh! W started his new job. New company car, new blackberry, new hours, new salary! It's the new hours we will have to adjust the most to. In the 9 years we have been married he has always gotten off work around 3 or 330. Having him not get home until 5 makes the day A LOT longer and give us A LOT less time to get things done together in the evening. HOW DO PEOPLE DO IT???? Anyway, we are thankful for his new position and all of the growth that it will allow for both of us. ;)
Until next week!
