Journey of a Super Hero...

That was the theme of our Road Show- Show that were put on tonight. W and I were asked about four weeks ago to help the YM/YW put together and perform a road show "play" of 8-10 minutes. Sitting in the Bishop's office, I looked at W before I replied. He has a crazy schedule and I have been blamed more than once that I say, "yes" to more than I should. So I let him answer and almost fell off my chair when I said, "yeah, that should be fun". Oh, how quickly we forget the work and toil of YM/YW activities. Not more than three years ago W practically served as my 1st and 2nd counselors AND my accompanying priesthood requirement. He truly is wonderful.

So I write the script- with some valued input(Thanks, JOE!) and pull the thing together pretty fast. I employed Natalie to do the dance number- probably THE smartest thing I could have ever done! She is AMAZING and I was truly honored to be able to work with her. Some people are just flat-out talented. She is one of them. Thanks, Natalie.

We had dress rehersals last night and true-to-form theatre: it bombed and tonight's opening ROCKED! The kids did amazing and I was thrilled to have it pulled off and ultimately done with. ;) Sorry, no pictures, yet. (I was behind the scenes!)

On a side-note: I just want to say that prayer works. Not just evident in the show tonight, but in all areas in our life. We truly are a blessed people.

I will have more pictures to post this weekend. We have a date-night planned...EXCITING!

  1. Nikki,
Congratulations. I wish I could have seen the final product. Tell me you had someone shooting video or something. Way to go at pulling that thing off. I couldn't have done it. You're awesome!

  4. What was yours about? I think we are in the same stake. We went to them last night too and it was the same theme. Our yw/ym did one about noah with dr. Phil. I thought they were all so good. I couldn't stop laughing.
